Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Afuffo III Visits Adontehene Division Of Akuapem In Aburi

The visit of Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III to Aburi Divisional Area formed parts of his his royal familiarization tour to the five (5 ) divisions in Okuapeman Traditional Area.

His Royal Majesty Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III on Thursday March 30, 2023 visited the chiefs and queen-mothers including other traditional office holders in the Aburi Division under the the Okuapeman Traditional Area in the Eastern Region.

The visit of Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III to Aburi Divisional Area formed parts of his his royal familiarization tour to the five (5 ) divisions in Okuapeman Traditional Area.

He was beautifully welcomed by Nananom in Aburi Division led by Adontenhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area and Aburihene, Otoobour Djan Kwasi II, the clergy and enthusiastic subjects amid appellations, dancing, drumming and display of Okuapeman culture.

The youths of the area were not left out as they lined up to catch a glimpse of His Royal Majesty the Okuapehene who was visiting the land since his enstoolment and gazette in October 2022.

A colourful durbar was held in Aburi Traditional Palace in honour of His Royal Majesty Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III.

In his welcome adress, the Adontenhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area and Aburihene, Otoobour Djan Kwasi II commended His Royal Majesty Oseadeeyo Kwasi Afuffo III for the historical exercise and saluted him.

Otoobour Djan Kwasi II called for unity among Akuapem Traditional Council after now they have Okuapehene His Royal Majesty Oseadeeyo Kwasi Afuffo III.


The Aburihene appealed to Okuapehene to use his authority to resolve protracted chieftaincy disputes in Adukrom-Akuapem and also help address high rate of youth unemployment.

He congratulated the Okuapehene for his enstoolment and gazette as President of Akuapem Traditional Council.

For his part, Oseedeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III called on chiefs in Okuapeman to unite for development.

According to the Chief of Staff at the Okuapehene palace, Mr. George Addo Yobo, the tour which begun on March 9, will end on April 15, 2023.
