Newly installed Queen mother Nana Akua Obiri Asamoah Kontihemaa of Kintampo has deduced that parental negligence has served as the fundamental cause of teenage pregnancy and therefore admonished parents to save the girl child through the conscious act.
Kontihemaa Nana Asamoah urged parents to take girl-child education seriously.
“education could redeem the girl-child from abuse and ignorance act of involvement in early and unprotected sex".
Nana Obiri Asamoah expressed concern about some parents who asked their teenage girls for financial assistance, which was weird.
Nana Hemaa noted that it is even worse that some parents do not have any idea of when where their children sleep.
According to Kontihemaa, she can not only blame the parents but children as well.
“Children of nowadays are very stubborn”, she added.
On his part, Kontihene of Kintampo Nana Owusu Pinkrah II pledged to cooperate with the newly Kontihemaa to curb the teenage menace.
Nana Pinkrah again mentioned that modern-day democracy has spoiled the cultural values of Ghana
