The Western North Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr William Benjamin Assuah has together with his team donated smartphones to serial callers of the NPP within the Aowin and Suaman constituencies in the region.

The donation marked the last phase of the distribution of a total of one hundred and forty-three (143) smartphones to serial callers across the nine (9) constituencies in the region.

While addressing the serial callers, Mr William Benjamin Assuah reiterated that the primary objective of the initiative has nothing to do with his bid in the upcoming regional elections since serial callers are not delegates at regional level elections but rather to enhance the activities of serial callers across the region.

He was also quick to add those serial callers should sustain the ability to communicate their thoughts with decorum and not resort to insults and unhealthy ways of discourse.

Addressing the challenges of serial callers, he emphasized that the party at the regional level are not oblivious of their concerns and are therefore working assiduously around the clock to help secure opportunities for them.

Hon. Frederick Addy, the NPP 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the Suaman-Dadieso Constituency also shared thoughts with the serial callers, commending the Regional Chairman for the whole initiative and further encouraging the beneficiaries to keep their hopes alive in the Mr Assuah for more innovative developments.

Mr Felix Foster Ackah, and Mr Samuel Adu Agyei, Regional Communications Director and Regional Organizer respectively, took the opportunity to throw more light on the matters relating to the E-levy and other trending national issues.

As part of the initiative, the Regional Chairman after providing over one hundred forty-three (143) with smartphones also pledged to support them with a GHS30.00 monthly stipend to cater for their airtime charges. This, he said, is out of his coffers and not a part of the party’s support scheme for communicators.

Robert Antwi, another serial caller from the Aowin Constituency added that, if every Regional Chairman had been this innovative and thoughtful, the party would have had an upper hand over certain critical issues. He, therefore, commended the Regional Chairman and urged his colleagues to put in all the necessary effort in the execution of their duties.

Mr William Benjamin Assuah also acknowledged the concerns of the serial callers and commended their swift response to the meeting, adding that their concerns will be attended to in due course.
