The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadaso Constituency, Hon. Yaw Bona Boadi has called for peace in their parliamentary primaries today.

According to him, 95 police and 35 soldiers have been employed to ensure that safety prevails at the polls.

 

 

“The election is within the family of the New Patriotic Party therefore why should there be a quarrel within us?

"We requested that 95 police officers should be here to supervise the process. 35 soldiers would patrol the area and anyone who goes contrary would be disciplined,” he said.

 

 

The NPP on Saturday, June 20, 2020, held its parliamentary primaries across the country to decide representatives of the various constituencies in the general elections. Kwadaso is the only constituency in the Ashanti region, which is holding its primaries today.

There are 10 electoral areas within the constituency with three aspirants namely; Vincent Frimpong Manu, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, and the incumbent MP S. K Nuamah respectively.

The delegates within the constituency are 389 which Tanoso Anglican A and B have 35, Methodist 40, and others.

 

 

The Chairman advised media personnel to be exact in their reportage and quit the overestimation events.

“Much of my appeal is to you the reporters, the exaggerations are sometimes too much and if this election can be successful, we’re entreating you to help us.

“This is not the end after today’s process. The most important will happen December and that is why we are calling for unity to be able to rally behind the President, Nana Akufo-Addo to extend his position as Ghana’s leader,” he ended.
