Economic Fighter’s League Ready to Accept “Undervalued” NPP Man, Nii Noi Nortey

Left-wing political movement in Ghana, Economic Fighters League have solidarized with Nii Noi Nortey who fell out with his party ahead of the 2016 general elections.

According to the Nkrumaist movement in a statement signed by Fighter-General Hardi Yakubu, the one-time NPP parliamentary candidate, Nii Noi Nortey has been unfairly treated after “painfully” losing his party primaries in the  Korle Klottey constituency to Philip Addison.

Nii Nortey following his loss in the heated re-run in February 2016, defied party advice and went independent, a move which he has said he regrets.

Nii Noi has since been fighting for his political life, the EFL noted.

The group alleged a foul play in Nii Nortey’s loss, hinting at Philip Addison’s relationship to then NPP presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo.
