NPP Mischievously Kicked Dr Assibey Yeboah From Parliament Nii Lante Vanderpuiye Speaks
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodio Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Lante Vanderpuiye, has accused the members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being the brain behind the downfall of the current outgone Member of Parliament (MP) for New Juaben South Constituency, Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah to lost the seat.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodio Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Lante Vanderpuiye, has accused the members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being the brain behind the downfall of the current outgone Member of Parliament (MP) for New Juaben South Constituency, Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah to lost the seat.
The former Youth and Sports Minister lamented the exit of Dr. Assibey Yeboah from Parliament.
According to him, the high attrition rate of seasoned MPs from the house smacks of that the ruling government has sold someone selling his colored TV to buy a black and white one.
He was contributing to a statement on the floor by the Deputy Majority Leader, Mr. Alexander Afenyo Markin which celebrated Dr. Assibey Yeboah's birthday which falls today, Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
According to him, the former MP was on top of issues during his time in parliament.
Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah has lost his bid to represent the New Patriotic Party in the 2020 parliamentary elections in the New Juaben South Constituency.
Mr. Assibey-Yeboah, who is the former chairman of the finance committee in parliament, lost in Saturday’s primaries to the CEO of the Ghana FreeZones Board, Michael Okyere Baafi.
Mr. Baafi polled 372 votes against 200 for Assibey-Yeboah.
