A concerned citizen of Berekum in the Bono Region, Nana Poku Okukrudofo has made a passionate appeal to the government of Ghana and the leadership of Parliament to address the "no bed syndrome" affecting most of the hospitals in the country.

According to him, he visited at least over 27 hospitals to observe the conditions of patients at these hospitals and witnessed how patients are being treated in wheelchairs and floors due to lack of beds.

Nana Poku, therefore, called on the leadership of Ghana's parliament to work towards ensuring beds are supplied to the various hospitals which lack beds to alleviate the "no bed syndrome" situation confronting the nation.

He finally urged the Ministry of Health and other organizations to intervene since this situation is not good for  Ghana as patients queues and wait at various hospitals for lack of beds at the detriment of their health.
