New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Executive and Its Selective Amnesia-Kwasi Krang (KK).

Of late, it has become normal for some people in the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to openly declare their support for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia in the upcoming flagbearership race and If ordinary talking party supporters engage in this wanton declaration it doesn't give any cause for concern.

The lack of common standards to measure the conduct of certain key officers in the party would be the last straw that could break the camel's back.

The NPP needs to be principled, balanced and fair to all shades of members and their interests so long as these interests remain legitimate and worthwhile.

It may be recalled that Hopeson Ardorye who is not an officer of the party came under borage of criticism for openly declaring support for Alan Kyeremateng.

People called for his head and the consequences are known to all of us and his position in National Security was relieved.

However, people in leadership positions should know better and should know that leadership is about being fair and neutral rather than going on this divisive tangent.

There seems to be paralysis in the leadership of the NPP, with no one being bold enough to condemn this unhealthy practice, rather, the wanton declarations for the Vice President are even reaching a crescendo.

The recklessness amongst the top-notch of the party is becoming too much. Party leaders who should be neutral and ensure that a level playing field would exist for all the aspiring candidates are shamefully involved in this disgraceful conduct.

The great question is will they have the necessary courage to reprimand themselves for violating their directives and also bring certain loudmouths in leadership positions such as Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party to order?

Sincerity and frankness are eluding the NPP. A few selfish individuals who would not constitute three per cent of the total electorate in Ghana are on a mission to destroy the party.

There appears to be that, the NPP has no leader with an authority to exercise and all the sycophants parading around and singing the praises of one of the candidates are causing great division among the rank and file of the party and are setting a very bad precedence and we should all know that what goes around comes around.

We will continue to speak against this open endorsement of one candidate over the others in clear violation of the ethics of party leadership.
