Never Compare Yaw Tog To Sarkodie - Amerado

Amerado is calling for the nonsense comparisons between veterans and upcoming artists to come to an immediate halt.

The rapper angrily warned Ghanaians to respect the legacy of artists who have laid the foundations for new generation artists.

According to him, artistes like Daddy Lumba and Amakye Dede should never be disrespected by being compared to artists like Kuami Eugene just because they don't sing anymore.

He said this concerning the recent Yaw Tog/Sarkodie comparison, where a section of Ghanaians have said that the young rapper is already greater than Sarkodie.

Amerado pointed out that the comparisons will only harm the young Yaw Tog's career as he is just finding his feet in the sand of the industry.

“The fact that Daddy Lumba or Amakye Dede is no longer releasing songs does not make Kuami Eugene or KiDi better than them. It is quite unfortunate that this is going on in our industry and it is not fair. How can you compare Yaw Tog to Sarkodie as some industry persons are already doing?

“These young acts will start feeling they have arrived and disrespected the old ones, which should not be so. You cannot compare King Promise to Kwabena Kwabena or Ofori Amponsah in any way,” he fumed.

Yaw Tog himself has begged Ghanaians to stop comparing him to the greats as he is just starting off.

"I’ve seen people comparing me to legends like Sarkodie, etc. The level Sarkodie has reached in music, I‘m yet to get there. People should stop doing that.”

"I don’t even consider myself an "A" list artist. For now, I’m a "Z" list artiste and climbing the ranks in the game," The humble young man recently remarked in an interview.
