About 31 parliamentary hopefuls appear before the vetting committee of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) to prove their eligibility.

The party slated the vetting process for aspirants to commence on April 3, 2023. 31 constituencies within the Greater Accra Region, are expected to appear before the vetting committee at the Greater Accra Regional Office. Out of the number, 11 are to appear on Monday, April 4, 2023. 10 constituencies are expected on Tuesday, and the final 10 will appear on Wednesday, 5, and 6th April 2023. Four constituencies have been held from partaking in the vetting process. Speaking in an interview with the Media, the Deputy Communication Officer NDC for Greater Accra, Simon Kwaku Tettey noted that the withheld constituencies have some internal matters undergoing investigations therefore will have their own time. He intimated that internal matters were better left within the confines of the party, therefore, was tight-lipped on the cause of the misunderstanding. According to the Ningo Prampram MP, Honourable Sam Narty George, the contest will be a "cool shop" for him. He added that his works will speak for him. The Shai Osu Doku lawmaker, Honourable Linda Obenewaa Ocloo said her number 1 position on the ballot is indicative of victory. "I am number 1, so all other persons after me will follow at the election as well", she noted.
