Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has commended the Security Service for their utmost commitment in the general elections across the country which has contributed to a peaceful and serene electoral process.

The president of Ghana is now the president-elect following his declaration by the Electoral Commission of Ghana on Wednesday, extending his reign for the second term.

Addressing Ghanaians minutes after the elections, the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer celebrated the gallant men of the security service for living up to their mandate and helping to witness one of the most peaceful and speedy polls in the history of Ghana.

He reminded that Ghana will forever be indebted to them for their role has been valuable in preserving law and order.

He thanked the Media for the accuracy in their reportage through extensive coverage before, during and after the elections, acknowledging the international observers also for their concern.

The Electoral Commission, chaired by Mrs Jean Mensa was also applauded for the yeoman’s job in conducting the elections successfully.

He urged the supporters of the NPP to understandably celebrate and jubilate the victory but desist from violent acts.

“We should all remember that we are part of one family. Let us continue to conduct and preserve peace which is the envy of many. The battle Is the Lords,” he ended.
