Nana Acheampong "Lumba and I get along well"

Rumors that veteran highlife performer Nana Acheampong and his friend Daddy Lumba are at odds have been refuted.

According to a number of accounts, the two closest friends have been at odds for a few years since their strange split.

But the two buddies could be seen on stage together singing one of their older songs during the musical performance "The Legends Night" that Kafam arranged at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center.

Speaking on their split, Nana Acheampong revealed that the Lumba brothers chose different paths for mutual reasons rather than because they were at odds.

"I don't understand why people believe that the Lumba Brothers are troubled. I have an excellent friend named Lumba. Which other musician is entertaining Ghanaians more than us, since I have 30 albums and he has more than 30?

After his performance on stage, Nana Acheampong remarked, "We have been able to entertain our followers all these years, and that is what makes us special.

Daddy Lumba thanked Nana Acheampong for introducing him to the highlife genre and for helping to advance his career during the performance as well.

"Before I met Nana Acheampong, who introduced me to Highlife, I was doing Gospel when I moved to Germany. I owe him a lot because he helped shape my musical career, Lumba said of his friend.
