NALAG Women's Caucus President Congratulates Women MMDCE's Nominees, but Calls for More Inclusion

Entreating all the women nominees to work hard and diligently to bring development to their people when they are eventually confirmed by their respective Assembly members.

President of the Women's Caucus of the National Association of the Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) and outgoing Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Sagnarigu of the Northern Region, Hajia Mariam Iddrisu has congratulated all-female MMDCE nominees across the country. 

Commending the President for appointing thirty-eight (38) women through the Local Government Minister, Hajia Mariam thanked the President but said they wished to have more women.

"Even though we would have wished to have more women MMDCE nominees in the list, we thank H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the confidence he has reposed in the 38 women who have made it into the final list,  and for his commitment to the progress making of women in this country".

According to her women appointed in Ghana as MMDCE'S since 2017 is a great improvement as compared to the previous years.

In a statement copied to the press, Hajia Mariam, therefore, entreat all the women nominees to work hard and diligently to bring development to their people when they are eventually confirmed by their respective Assembly members.

She further advised the appointees to continue to make women proud.
