Edinson Cavani’s father has revealed that his son is unhappy at Old Trafford and would opt for a move away from the Premier League when the season ends.

The 34-year old Uruguayan is reportedly considering joining Argentine club, Boca Juniors, although he has an option to extend his contract with Manchester United, should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decides to.

Luis Cavani, the father of the former PSG forward’s father has opened up in an interview with TyC Sports that his son is considering moving closer to his family and that means a move to the Argentine club is likely.

 “My son does not feel comfortable in England and wants to be close to the family again.

“Edinson is going to end up playing in South America.

“I want Edinson to play in a team that fights for something important.

“Edinson had many conversations with Riquelme and he would like to play for Boca.

“He was always seduced by the idea of playing in Boca.

“If he returns to South America he is leaning towards Boca.”

“By the middle of the year, he will return to South America.

“My son’s idea is not to continue there, he wants to return.”

Edinson Cavani has played 9 matches and scored six goals with a pass completion rate of 75%, and has 2 assists.
