The incumbent National Democratic Congress ((NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region, Honourable Henry Yiadom Boakye commonly known as Okoyo has been in the news again for demonstrating his good leadership to the people of Akwatia.
On Wednesday July 19, 2023, the hardworking MP through Deputy communication officer for Akwatia NDC presented a hairdryer machine and undisclosed seed money on behalf of Hon to Miss Maaku Esther.
Miss Maaku Esther is the 158th Graduand under the Okoyo's Youth in Apprenticeship programme in Akwatia.
This event is part of the initiative to support apprenticeship programs and empower the youth in the Akwatia Constituency by the Legislator.
Honourable Yiadom's contribution of a hairdryer machine and seed money will help graduands from the youth in apprenticeship program, possibly providing them with a means to start their own business or pursue their career in the hairdressing industry.
Miss Susana Ankumah, who mentored the outgoing apprentice, was also recognized and appreciated by Hon Okoyo for her patience and dedication in guiding and supporting the apprentices during their learning process.
