MP for Techiman North to sponsor more girls into law schools

Honorable Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP for Techiman North in the Bono East region on the ticket of the opposition NDC has pledged to mentor and sponsor every girl from her constituency who is willing and qualifies to become an astute Lawyer like herself.

Lawyer Ofosu-Adjare who recently attained a Notary Public status; meaning an Officer of the Law authorized by the State to have her Signature recognized internationally in the preparation, and authentication of documents says she aims to promote the interest of the girl child education,n, especially in higher fields like Medicine and Law courses and has therefore instituted a full Scholarship program to that effect.

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent Nana Kwadwo Adu in Techiman when she presented a cheque to the family of one Miss Kopor Handaa who has hailed from Akrofrom and gained admission to study LLB at the UPSA Law School in Accra, the first girl to benefit from the scholarship scheme, the Techiman North MP advised girls in her constituency to take their studies seriously to become beneficiaries in future.

Mrs. Janet Kopor, mother of the Scholarship awardee on behalf of her family and the entire Akrofrom community expressed gratitude to the MP for sponsoring their daughter to become the first female Lawyer God willing after her 6 years of legal education.
