More than 200 widows in Deduako, a community in the Oforikrom Constituency have been supported on New year day.

The Beneficiaries (Widows) received food items including; rice, cooking oil, spices, tomato pastes, mackerel, 100 pieces of clothes and 5 hair dryers worth GH¢ 15,000.

The event which came off on New year day, January 1st 2021 was organized by Mr. Richard Nyarko a.k.a Obolo,  Assembly Member for Deduako.

This is the 2nd time Obolo, the Deduako Assembly Member has done such a charity.

“I have been offering this assistance for years as part of my responsibility and I will continue to do it every year," he said.

The Deduako Assembly Member speaking with Soiree News reporter, Joseph Marfo entreated the general public not to desert the aged, widows, and widowers but rather support the vulnerable in their desired capacity.

The widows expressed their profound gratitude towards the donations and begged God to grant the Assembly Member long life.

They however, appealed to the rich to support widows and the needy in the various communities in Ghana.
