Following the refusal of the Finance Minister, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta to appear before the floor of Parliament, the minority in parliament is demanding the resignation of the former.

Speaking at the floor of Parliament today, Thursday, March 24, 2022, the Minority Chief Whip, Honourable  Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak decried the finance minister's continuous to the lodging of parliament when there were pressing questions meant to address pertinent needs to have some twelve questions tabled to and intended to be asked at the floor of Parliament.

He vehemently called for the resignation of the finance minister if he thought he was unable to do the work.

He maintained that the financial behaviors were unacceptable therefore for his immediate resignation.

On his part, the Ranking Member on the Finance Committee of Parliament, Honourable Cassiel Ato-Forson finds the conduct of the finance minister as is the respect for the august house of Parliament.

The finances supposed were to appear before the house of parliament to answer about retaining the current state of the economy.

However, information gathered by this portal indicates that the finance minister would be holding a press conference at the ministry of finance this afternoon.
