Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reiterated that Kylian Mbappe is staying in the Ligue 1, Marca reports.

The French star has been linked to Real Madrid with just a year left on his contract. Speculations surrounding the 22-year old reveals that he is interested in a move away from France after his decision to stall a contract extension for the club.

Mbappe will be a free agent in January yet the president of the club has stated that the World Cup winner will not leave this summer.

"I will be clear," Al-Khelaifi told L'Equipe. "Mbappe is going to stay in Paris.

"We will never sell I'm and he will never leave on a free [transfer]. Mbappe has everything he needs in Paris.

"Where can he go? What club, in terms of ambition, can compete with PSG today?

"All I can say is that things are going well, and I hope we can reach an agreement [on a new contract]. This is Paris, this is his country. He has a mission, not only to play football but to promote Ligue 1, his country and his capital."

Mbappe is with the French National team as they prepare for the Euros which begins on Friday, June 11.
