Hala Alkarib, a social activist from Khartoum, tells the BBC that despite the ceasefire, it is extremely unsafe on the city's streets:
It's not holding as tightly as it usually does. There is a severe lack of security on the streets.
Therefore, even if there is a truce, people will still be unable to get any kind of humanitarian aid.
"Child soldiers with guns are all around us, occupying the streets everywhere, and it's very frightening for civilians," a resident said.
