Sergio Romero wants out of Manchester United after Everton revealed interest in the United goalkeeper, the Times reports.

The arrival of Dean Henderson has stiffened the competition for the Argentine at old Trafford, who now is the third choice goalkeeper for the Red Devils.

The Toffees due to the recent howlers of Jordan Pickford prefers to provide strong competition for the English international after he was at it again during Everton’s 5-2 midweek cup win over Fleetwood Town.

Carlo Ancelotti does not want complacency to affect his team which has become one of Premier League’s top contending club this season with the addition of Allan, James Rodriguez and Doucoure.

The Toffees have won two out of two matches in the English League, with Calvin Lewin leading the Golden Boot race with four goals in such an early stage.

Pickford made 38 appearances for the Toffees last season and kept nine clean sheets in 13 wins and 25 loses. He came 10th on the most clean sheets kept last year in the Premier, an accolade won by Ederson of Manchester City, who reserved his post for 16 times.

The Times attached that Everton are claimed to have made contact with intermediaries to discuss a potential deal for the 33-year-old.
