THE SCORES of supporters, sympathisers, floating voters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Oyarifa Pit within the Madina Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of the Greater Accra Region
have demonstrated their commitment to vote massively for Member of Parliament (MP) of the area,Honourable Francis Xavier-Sosu and flagbearer of the NDC, H.E John Dramani Mahama to win the 2024 general elections.
The public declaration of the support to the MP by thousands of people in Madina has increased the woes of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency.
These supporters at Oyarifa Pit in Madina were seen in atmosphere of joy signing gospel songs in their loud voices to affirm their readiness to vote massively for the NDC, more importantly their humble, hardworking and God fearing MP to retain the seat for the party.
This was when they availed themselves to welcome the MP including his campaign team members and the Madina Constituency executives of the NDC when the party led by the MP embarked on door-to-door campaign at Oyarifa Pit in Madina.
The MP has been holding meetings with party members and supporters in the various electoral areas within the Madina about the need for them to believe in the party and his vision.
Currently, the MP who justed returned from his international trip met with some branch and constituency executives of the NDC as part of efforts towards party reorganization.
Some of the issues discussed included matters relating to restructuring of the branch leadership, grassroot mobilization and coordination with constituents.
Addressing the gathering, Honorable Xavier-Sosu shared his dreams, vision, policies and programmes with the joyful supporters and members of the NDC in the area and affirmed his commitment to them of leading the party to win the 2024 general election.
The MP stated that he was very impressed about the show of affection by the supporters and members of the party in the area and called on them to unite to fight the common enemy--the ruling NPP in the 2024 polls.
The MP charged party supporters, members and sympathizers to preach his and the NDC's well-designed message to the good people of Madina in Accra.
He further charged them to go to the various houses, stores, market places of the Madina eligible electorate to preach the good message of the party.
“The fight is no more internal fight among us as NDC people but the NPP; so let bygone be bygone and rally support for him and Mr Mahama to win the election,” he said.
He also cautioned the party members, particularly the executives and polling agents, to choose their words carefully as they work towards unity.
