Many seasoned actors and movie buffs, notably actress Portia Asare Boateng, have expressed dissatisfaction with the constant casting of young actors in roles intended for the elderly, which they believe contributed to the demise of Kumawood Films.

The use of a younger actor to play an elderly role, according to those who object to the practice, is inappropriate because older performers are more likely to have the physical characteristics required to carry out the role.

Liwin continued, "As long as you do the part justice, there is nothing wrong with it. The difficulty arises when you are unable to comprehend the role as best you should.

He said to the host, Oforiwa, that because he is so passionate about his work, he has the best makeup items from the US that he gives to makeup artists on set to utilize to transform his appearance into that of an older person.
