New midget actor, Benjamin Kwao, known as 'Tapoli' has claimed that most Ghanaian celebrities are liars.

According to him, they just want to give the impression that they are good people and that they help other young artistes out, while in fact, they don't.

He painfully used his own experience with Kumawood star, Lilwin, to support his claim explaining that Lilwin deliberately ignored him to his face when he tried to ask for his help.

In what he said was a traumatic experience for him, he stated: “When I started acting I have had lots of people looking down on me even on set. I remember I once met Lilwin at UTV and when I approached him that I’m a young actor and would love him to help me, he just stared at me and ignored me,” he told host DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa in an exclusive interview.

The diminutive actor lashed out at most Ghanaian artistes, calling them selfish and hypocritical people who claim to be in the business of helping upcoming acts but only help those people who they perceive that they can get something back in return.

He said: “I got hurt, really hurt because I know I’m talented and all I need is help. So a top actor like Lilwin could have easily help me blow but they won’t because you’re not driving the V8s and not dress like them so…. yet you see them on TV claiming they’re doors are open for young and upcoming actors but when you get close to them, they ignore you.”

He concluded that he could not wait to be the big thing in Ghana, so he can truly help upcoming artistes.
