The late Abdul Hakeem who was hit by a stray bullet during police shootings at Lamashegu has been laid to rest at the Zujung Cemetery in Tamale of the Northern Region amidst tears and sorrow.

A team of pathologists and investigators from the nation's capital Tuesday 15th February 2022 carried a detailed check on the disease before the remains were released to the family for burials.

Family and friends observed Islamic prayers for the decease at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue before moving to the cemetery.

Mourners in Tamale numbering about hundreds joined the burial service.

Before his death, the deceased was a mobile phone repairer and a Junior High School graduate awaiting his result. Soireenews.com has gathered.

On Sunday 13 February 2022 the late Abdul Hakeem together with about seven persons were hit by a stray bullet after some police chased and shot at a driver at the palace of Lamashegu Naa, Nyeb Ziblim Abdullahi.

The unprofessional conduct of the police infuriated the youth of the area, which led to a street protest and further gunshots from the police.
