Alexander Lacazette has revealed that he is happy at Arsenal despite speculations purporting his emotions as despondent at the Emirates.

The Arsenal forward scored a goal in the opening fixture of the Premier League at the Craven Cottage as the Gunners hit three past the newly-promoted side to climb the top of the League table.

New signing, Gabriel Martinez and Aubameyang got their names on the scoresheets in the 3-0 scoreline in favor of Arteta’s side.

When asked whether he is happy to engage in the new season with Arsenal, he replied, "I'm really happy,” the Frenchman said with smiles.

“It's only the press who say l am unhappy and l want to leave. But me, from the beginning, I have said I am happy with Arsenal and "I want to play and win titles, we won a title last month, so I am happy with Arsenal."

Football.london wrote on Friday that Arsenal are considering their options to involve the 29-year old in a swap deal for Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid.

The Ghanaian international has been one of the much-sought players of Arteta as he intends to strengthen his midfield offensively and defensively.

Partey’s release clause is €50m (£45.5m) and with the coronavirus crises on the club’s finances, Arsenal must either sell to fund the purchase or involve a player in negotiation.
