Mzbel has accused Kuami Eugene of being a hypocrite.

The actress asked if Sarkodie had 'put a gun to Kuami Eugene's head' to get him on the 'Happy Days' track.

This comes after Kuami Eugene had come out to say he did not want to be a part of the controversy that the song has caused.

Mzbel has demanded that Kuami Eugene stop his pretence that Sarkodie deceived him when it's obvious that he knew fully well what he was doing.

She stated that all Kuami is doing is destroying his own reputation as he cannot claim that he did not know the song was an endorsement track for the NPP.

“Right now, it is not the Label that is talking. It is Kuami Eugene that is talking," she said this while speaking on Neat FM’s “Entertainment GH’.

"So, if he can talk now, he could have spoken then . . . If they were giving him a drug and he didn’t like it, would he say the Record Label says so and so he will take it . . . So, it means you knew about it and yet you joined it. Because if you say you found out on the day of the video shoot, you could have opted out.

“ . . if he can talk now, then he could have spoken that he didn’t like it. It wasn’t too late; it’s not out. So, he could have said he didn’t like it; it will affect me. If the Record Label was forcing you, your parents are there. People are there. The management of the Record Label are humans."

"They can’t force you to take a drug to kill yourself because you’ve signed with them. So, if you saw how the video shoot went and you kept mute for us to finish the video shoot, you can’t talk now. You can’t say that Sarkodie deceived you,’’ she told the host.

“Did Sarkodie point a gun at your head to do the song?” she questioned the musician.

Sarkodie officially backed Akufo-Addo in the lyrics of his 'Happy Days' track.

He rapped that since Akufo-Addo has implemented a number of good policies that are benefitting all Ghanaians, he should be strongly considered for a second term in office, specifically mentioning the free Senior High school as well as the uninterrupted power supply to homes and industry.

“We all spoke against the dumsor (erratic power supply) and the high inflation rate and so if these have been solved at the moment with Ghanaians also enjoying free SHS, then all I can say is that Nana Akufo-Addo should continue for another four years,” he said.

Sam Nartey George then alleged that Sarkodie and Samini were paid the sum of GHC 500k to endorse New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their latest tracks.

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Ningo-Prampram stated that the celebrities were paid GHS 500,000 each as he urged all not to fall for or be influenced by their approval of the NPP party for another term in office.

Upon hearing the news Kuami Eugene immediately cried out that he did not knowingly go against Mahama with Sarkodie.

He revealed this an interview with 3FM’s MzGee on Tuesday, November 3. He confessed that he didn't know that "Nana Toaso" was going to be in the song.

“All I knew was that [Sarkodie] sent his first verse so I listened and put together a chorus. That’s why I was singing, everybody gave glory because he said he wanted to do an inspirational song."

“I spoke to my manager this morning. After the video shoot, I came back to my management telling him I think there is some endorsement for Nana [Akufo-Addo] in the song because the second verse he talks about ‘Nana Toaso’ and the last bit of the song which I did not hear when I was on set because the song never got to the last bit of it."

“I didn’t hear the Battle is the Lord’s in the song while I was on set but me being a normal Ghanaian that understands everything going on in the country, I know that when you say ‘Nana toaso’ not about the fact that it’s something that the NPP people are using right now. So I told my management that I think Sark did an endorsement for Nana on the song and they asked if I was for real. So the second part was an endorsement.”

“So there is something about management that you don’t fight your fight and for me, this isn’t a fight. It is about confronting their management and that this is what’s going on and this is what we have heard. I’m not the one to confront Sark. I was mute throughout the shoot so we made it a management versus management issue. I was there with my road manager to escort me. But my management Richie Mensah was not there, so I had to get to them to contact them. I did not want a part of all this.

“I think I have every right to be uncomfortable. It is not about whether or not there was an endorsement, it’s just the fact that I had no idea about it. As a human, I hate to be kept in the shadows. And right now I’m just in the middle. I don’t know what’s going on. I’m just an innocent young guy who did a feature for someone I respect in the industry.”
