Sam George alleges how much Sarkodie and Samini were reportedly paid to endorse NPP

Sam Nartey George has stated that Sarkodie and Samini were paid the sum of GHC 500k to endorse New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their latest tracks.

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Ningo-Prampram alleged that the celebrities were paid GHS 500,000 each as he urged all not to fall for or be influenced by their approval of the NPP party for another term in office.

“Don’t be swayed by any funny endorsements people. We may love their music and groove to it but we don’t trust their political choices especially when they are worth GH500,000,” he said.

This comes after Sarkodie officially backed Akufo-Addo in the lyrics of his 'Happy Days' track.

He rapped that since Akufo-Addo has implemented a number of good policies that are benefitting all Ghanaians, he should be strongly considered for a second term in office, specifically mentioning the free Senior High school as well as the uninterrupted power supply to homes and industry.

“We all spoke against the dumsor (erratic power supply) and the high inflation rate and so if these have been solved at the moment with Ghanaians also enjoying free SHS, then all I can say is that Nana Akufo-Addo should continue for another four years,” he said.

Samini also endorsed President Akufo-Addo for a second term in his song titled Kpoyaka in which he catalogued the achievements of the president ranging from the agric, service, manufacturing and industry sectors of the economy.

“Nana show boy is number one on the ballot, Nana continues with the work because you have delivered,” Samini said.
