The former City captain is now the manager of Anderlecht.

Former Manchester City captain, Vincent Kompany has retired from football.

The Premier League winner is now the manager for Anderlecht having joined the Belgian side after the end of the 2019 season where City were winners of the Premier League, beating Liverpool by a point.

Kompany enjoyed a player-manager role in May 2019 but has announced his retirement from the pitch.

The 38-year old Man City to their first-ever Premier League title in the 2011/12 season before he went on to win three more league titles with the Citizens.

He also won two FA Cups, four League cups, and two Community Shields as he became widely viewed as a club legend having joined from Hamburger SV in 2008.
