Kennedy Agyapong in trouble for calling court judge ‘Stupid’

A High Court judge Amos Wuntah Wuni has summoned MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong for contempt.
It comes after the Mr Agyapong was seen in a video insulting the judge over a land ownership case still before the court.
“You are a stupid judge. I will face you,” Mr. Agyapong said on his TV station Net2 last week.
“I am not Anas to take bribe from you. I will deal with you” the MP said.
In reaction to this, the judge, on Wednesday issued a warrant for the maverick politician to appear on Monday, September 14 at 10:00 am.

Mr Agyapong is expected to “show cause why he should not be severely punished for contempt if the matters are proven against him to the satisfaction of the Court”.
Background
The Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong chided a court judge for granting an injunction against him in a land ownership dispute.
Mr Agyapong described the judges’ decision as “stupid”. This is because, in his opinion, the injunction was granted without due diligence conducted.
The Assin Central legislator noted this speaking on the Seat Show of Net 2 TV on Tuesday, September 2, 2020
He noted that, the judge had granted an injunction against him on a property he has owned for as long as 18 years.
According to Mr Agyapong, a man wants to steal the said land from him through the dubious means, for which he has through his lawyers presented fake documents claiming ownership to a court and succeeded in being granted an injunction by the judge.
“Listen to the reason why I am angry. The lawyer wrote the thing on August 5, and the judge scheduled appearance on August 13. I didn’t get anything from them; then on September 1, you granted an injunction on the property. You are a stupid judge; I will face you. You are a stupid judge. 18 years that I’ve had the land nobody served me and then I get called and told that an injunction has been placed on it. You are a stupid judge,”
The furious MP added;
“You think I fear someone? I am not like Anas who will take a bribe from you. I will deal with you…nobody served me anything. I didn’t know what was going on. Then all of a sudden you say I should not go to the land. You are an animal of a judge,” he averred.
