Kasoa will Soon Have Metropolitant Status...Municipal chief Executive Issues
Kasoa will soon be elevated to Metropolitan status.
Alex Donkor The Municipal Chief Executive Officer of A with Senya East, Mrs. Anita Obo Love Amissah, has disclosed that Kasoa will soon be elevated to Metropolitan status.
She made the disclosure this afternoon when she met the Press, at the Municipal Assembly, to acquaint herself with the various media houses in her catchment area.
The Municipal Chief Executive, said figures from the Ghana Statistical Service, put the population of Awutu Senya East around 260.000 which, according to he, qualifies the Municipality to be elevated to Metropolitan status.
Her interactions with the media was basically centred on negative Media reportage which sometimes put Kasoa in the negative light Security and sanitation issues that has become an albatross hunging on the neck of the Municipal Assembly
She said it was sad when Journalists reports on negative issues around Engleshie Amanfrom, Gomoa Nyanyanor and Awutu Breku and caption it as Kasoa.
On Security, Mrs. Ammissah said Security has improved since Kasoa became the Central East Command with a base for the Military and Immigration
She promise to liaise with the Judicial Service so that some offenders who commit trivial offenses would be made to do community service rather than being sent to goal.
Finally, the Municipal Chief Executive promise to periodically engaged the media to address issues pertaining to the development of Awutu Senya East Municipality.
