Loris Karius has joined Union Berlin for a season loan.

The former Liverpool first-choice goalkeeper will play the 2020/21 season in Germany has failed to break into the Liverpool team after making 67 appearances for Besiktas during his loan stay in Turkey.

The German terminated his contract with Besiktas after the Turkish side revealed that there were disputes over pay a few weeks ago.

He expressed that the abrupt end of the contract is a ‘shame’ revealing how he has personally tried resolving the situation yet to no avail.

"It's a shame it comes to an end like this but you should know that I have tried everything to solve this situation without any problems," Karius wrote on Instagram.
