It's difficult to promote music outside of Ghana – Flowking Stone

Flowking Stone, who has spent more than a year in the UK doing "daddy duties," admits to Graphic Showbiz that it has been difficult for him to promote his music.

Dr. Ray Beats' recording of the "By My Side" song, which the "Blow My Mind" hitmaker recently released, is now available.

Social media is present, he acknowledged, "but it's not like being in Ghana and going from one radio or TV station to the next hyping your tunes.

The song By My Side, which was just published with a music video, contains straightforward lyrics and a pleasant melody. It talks about the difficulties Flowking Stone has faced and how God has supported him.

Speaking on the nation's music industry, Flowking Stone opined that it shouldn't be dominated by a select group of performers.

"All people, including seasoned musicians and up-and-coming artists, should be given opportunities. It is not cool that event planners in Ghana typically book the same group of artists to play at events, he continued.

Structures are important in the music industry, according to Flowking Stone, known for songs like Go Low, Fire Born Dem, and Mekyeakyea among others.

"For instance, systems like pension plans, regulated revenues, and other things that are helpful are in place for professionals like doctors and teachers. I believe similar measures ought to be implemented to aid musicians.

Since they can use music to advance a national message, the government ought to be more involved in our music sector, he said.
