Danny Ings is expected to make a return for Southampton at the end of the month, Ralf Hassenhuttl confirmed.

The Saints forward was forced off after a muscle problem on Saturday and replaced by Che Adams when Southampton beat Sheffield United by a 2-0 scoreline – James Ward Prowse 32-minute penalty before the substitute doubled the advantage in the 49-minute.

The manager has updated on Monday that the former Liverpool man is expected to be back after the international break.

"I think it is a serious one but not too serious," the manager said when asked about Ings's injury. "I think three weeks it'll be, expect him back after international break."

Ings will miss games against Manchester City, Brighton and Hove Albion and AFC Bournemouth.
