“Inadequate water supply affecting the lives and livelihood of my electorate” - Assembly Member cries out
Inadequate water supply

Assembly Member for Kabile Electoral Area in Jaman North District of Bono region, Mr Samuel Sie has bemoaned the low supply of water in the area, which is adversely affecting the livelihood of residents.

Speaking in an interview with Bono Regional Soireenews correspondent, the Assembly Member stated that Kabile is a community with a high population in the district but has inadequate sources of water supply.

He noted that the community has some boreholes but is insufficient due to the increasing number of people in the area and called on the District Assembly and other stakeholders to come to their aid by providing a small water project.

Sie Samuel added that kindergarten pupils of Kabile Presbyterian primary school lack classrooms for studies and have embraced the Presby church for classes. He has therefore appealed to the government to construct a classroom block to facilitate teaching and learning.

Touching on roads in the area, he called on the Member of Parliament for Jaman North Constituency to channel their deplorable state to the Central government for reconstruction, noting that the contractor putting the Sampa-Wenchi road in shape failed to cover a gutter he constructed in Kabile.

This he said has made it very difficult for vehicles to convey passengers to the nearby communities. He then appealed to the government to kindly instruct the contractor to speed up works on the culverts.
