Immediate Past DCE Finances Skills Training Development For Youths In Awutu Senya West

The immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE) of Awutu Senya West  District Assembly of the Central Region, Mr Stephen Kwame Quaye, has demonstrated his statesmanship to support and finance the technical and vocational skills training programmes for some young people in the district.

He stated that he has boosted skills training of Awutu Senya West District youth, and called on Ghanaians to support and collaborate with government to use the available limited resources to effectively and efficiently develop the nation’s development.

So far, according to him, since he exited as the DCE for the area, he has not got to sleep, saying that he continued to invest heavily in supporting young people to learn apprenticeships such as electrical, tailing, soap and detergent making, welding and fabrication, tailoring, hair dressing, tie and dye and batik and block laying work among others.

These efforts, Mr Quaye noted gear towards his vision to continue to support the government to promote technical and vocational training skills development for the youths of the Awutu Senya West District.

He mentioned that some of the young people who completed the trainings in various technical and vocational disciplines were supported by him by buying them with their necessary working tools to do their jobs.

He explained that being the former DCE of the area, he has taken keen interest in the development of the youth, as it intends to develop an active work force to end unemployment of the teeming youths in the area.

He diclosed that the two young men at Obrachire Electoral Area he financially supported to learn the electrical engineering and tailing works have successfully graduated last week and that he fully provided with them with the necessary needed working tools to start their works.

Apart from supporting the youth trainings in various technical and vocational programmes, the immediate past the DCE, revealed that he gave out a total of seven hundred mathematical sets to six to the candidates from the six Junior High Schools (JHSs) who  had just written their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which was being organized by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

He assured the constituents of his commitment to continue to contribute his quota to the enhancement and promotion of the quality standard education to the children within the Awutu Senya West.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com on Friday December 31,2021 to deliver his Christmas and new year messages to the constituents, Mr Quaye thanked the chiefs, Awutu Senya West Constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), youths, management and staff of the Assembly for supporting him to complete his four years period of being appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to steer affairs of the Assembly to the expectations of the constituents.

He pointed out that although the President didn't reappointed him, he still working hard to contribute to the rebuilding of the structures of the NPP in both grassroots and regional levels.

He indicated that he still honouring invitations to social gatherings and programmes to support the development of the community.

According to him, he has financed and organised Bible quiz for the members of the Local Council of Churches in Awutu Senya West since he realised that Local Council of Churches are essential in developing Christian faith and teaching its values.

He said the Local Council of Churches was an important body that promoted development, peace, and unity among Christians for them to propagate and defend the gospel in communities for salvation, hence he associated himself with them to help to propagate and defend the gospel in communities for salvation.

 
Reverend Seth K. Mawutor, Chairman, Christian Council of Churches in the Volta region has emphasised the importance of the Local Council of Churches in building the Christian faith and teaching its values.

He said the Local Council of Churches was an important body that promoted development, peace, and unity among Christians for them to propagate and defend the gospel in communities for salvation.

He charged the executive members of the Council to make every necessary effort to keep the unity, harmony, and progress of the Council, keeping in mind that they could only succeed in their endeavours when they hold in high esteem the oneness of the Church, which is the body of Christ.
