Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Innocent Ujah Idibia, known by his stage name 2face Idibia, recently revealed in a statement that he is transitioning into an upcoming artist.
The music legend made this statement amid the release of new hit tracks by newly signed artists across different record labels in Nigeria.
While acknowledging their presence and influence in the music industry, he hinted at taking a step himself, mentioning that he is currently working on something.
On his Instagram handle, the popular musician wrote: “Meeen!, These new cats are not smiling o. I don turn to upcoming artist o, chai. But as them talk am, we no go gree for anybody this year. na kitchen I dey like this.”
In a related post, Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has revealed that he “slacked” in 2023 due to the “wrong people” around him.
He explained that the energy of the “wrong people” around him affected him so much to a point where he stopped feeling like himself.
He said he has left the “wrong people” around him behind in 2023, stressing that he would be “mad, dangerous, selfish and loving man” in 2024.
Ruger wrote via his Instastory: “2023, I slacked. I had the wrong people around me and I let them affect my energy. It got to a point that I didn’t feel like ruger anymore. Anyways, I’ve left each and everyone of them in 2023. In 2024, I am a mad, dangerous, selfish and loving man.”
