King Promise has open the lid on his song-writing prowess in Ghana.

The Legacy Life Entertainment signee is known by many through his cultured delivery of love songs for Ghanaians.

Gregory Promise Bortey has written songs for artistes such as Efya, Medikal (Ayekoo), Mr Eazi, among others and according to him, he pens down lyrics for artistes whom he mainly admires.

He expressed that he cannot write songs for just anyone except he loves their vibe.

“I write songs for people I love, not just for anyone. These are people that I’ve always wanted to work with, “he said in an interview with MzGee on TV3’s New Day.

As to whether he wants to make his song writing skill commercial, he maintained that “unless I like you”.

“Like I love Medikal’s music, whoever I have collaborated with, like King Sark, Manifest, Easy, a lot of people. When I like your music and your voice, simple,” he added.

“I am more of an artiste than a songwriter. I just create music of vibes. When the vibe is right, I come out with something and I’m like…oh ok.”

King Promise is out with a brand new banger titled “Sisa” with production assistance from Ghanaian music producer, GuiltyBeatz.

“I like Sisa, I did not write something. It actually just happen. Like I heard the beat and it gave me the vibes. I was in the studio with Guilty. We ve started working on something else and I wasn’t feeling it too much and then he flipped it to get another beat and that was this,” he narrated.

“Usually I just put the melodies down back and forth like I’m just filled with melodies and later on I fix the words.”
