FORMER aspiring member of Tain District Chief Executive  (DCE) in the Bono Region, Mr. Afful Manu Benjamin ( Nsawkawdehye), has declared his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries for the onward elections as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tain Constituency.

Speaking in an interview with Nyamekye Radio monitored by Soireenews.com, Mr. Afful affirmed his intention to contest the primaries on the ticket of the NPP when nominations are opened.
He pointed out that his motivation is to make the people of Tain independent, indicating his commitment to improving the lives of the people in the constituency.
He noted that it is time for Tain Constituency to participate actively in development at all levels of government and demand the adoption and implementation of policies and programs that would unburden and transform the lives of the constituents.

He therefore evoked on developmental interest stakeholders, civil society organisations to intensify efforts at addressing challenges confronting the constituency.
Mr. Afful is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sama Superior Company Limited and the Bono, Ahafo, Bono East and Northern sector representative of Kantanka Group of companies.
The NPP guru, who also doubles as the Proprietor for Star of Africa Montessori Academy, a tutor at the Presbyterian SHS in Berekum, bemoaned on the slow pace at which developmental projects initiated by the Nana Addo's led NPP government had stalled in the constituency.

In an affirmative, the Nsawkawdehye's ability to unite the NPP through his seeking of the welfare of the youth in Tain has helped a lot on his charity works to the party faithful, the needy and underprivileged constituents whether party or not.
He noted that, nothing much had been done for the people of Tain as he feels from the constituents, therefore reiterated the people needed somebody like him to bring development to the area.

Mr. Afful mentioned that if given the nod as an Member of Parliament for the constituency, he will make the constituents feel a sense of attaining education, agribusiness, healthcare and employment as his impart.
His vision and mission, as he stated, that he believes that leadership is about service which goes in line with his motto; 'Service to mankind and Nation, service to God'.
He called for the people’s support by urging the electorate to consider the fact that his representation in Parliament ought to increase further help in the development of the area.
