‘I Felt So Disappointed For Not Winning The VGMA Album Of The Year Award’ – Akwaboah

Ghanaian singer /songwriter, Akwaboah has expressed how disappointed he felt for not winning  the 'Album of the Year at the VGMA's.

Akwaboah’s ‘Matters of the Heart’ album was selected together with ‘Reign’ by Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene’s ‘RockStar’, ‘I Believe’ by Diana Hamilton, ‘Shay on You’ by Wendy Shay and ‘Untamed’ by Samini, which Kuami Eugene won the with his ‘RockStar’ album.

Kuame Eugene's 'Rockstar' was chosen as the Album f the Year leaving Akwaboah disappointed at the decision.

Akwaboah speaking on Citi TV show told Nana Tuffour that his ‘Matters of the Heart’ album was the best among all, that’s why, he felt soo disappointed not winning the album of the year.

“Let me be honest. I was extremely disappointed because when you look at albums out there, I would not say they were not good but from production to the lyrics and everything, I felt mine was up there,”

“I don’t know why they chose any other album but I feel mine should have been the Album of the Year.”

Akwaboah’s’ Matters of the Heart album’ has twelve (12) songs including ‘Hye Me Bo’, ‘Matters of the Heart’, ‘Worship’, Love Unfair’, ‘Forget’ and ‘Let You Go’.
