The Head of the Tse Nyonmo Kojo Family of Krokobite fishing community under the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Area of the Greater Accra Region, Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI, popularly known as Nii Armah Fitz, has dismissed claims of being the chief recruiting officer of land guards who have been terrorizing residents and tourists in the Kokrobite enclave and its environs.

The Head of the Tse Nyonmo Kojo Family of Krokobite fishing community under the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Area of the Greater Accra Region, Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI, popularly known as Nii Armah Fitz, has dismissed claims of being the chief recruiting officer of land guards who have been terrorizing residents and tourists in the Kokrobite enclave and its environs.

Consequently, he also denied being the notorious land-guards who is operating in Kokrobite, Langma and Tuba lands, saying that the wrong misinformation received by the police officers, misleading them [police] to break into his house in Krokobite without recourse to his fundamental human rights.

He stressed that the claims by the groups that he is a land-guard are false, stressing that he has at all times, supported his community in diverse ways.
He said his footprints in the Kokrobite, Langma and Tuba and its environs are there for all to see and urged the security agencies to deal ruthlessly with anyone who involves himself or herself in any dubious ways in the connection of land transactions and Chieftaincy matters  in the area.

"My attention has been drawn to some false publications circulating on various media platforms which was a calculated attempt orchestrated by some elders and youths of Krokobite to dent my hard earned reputation over the years by tagging me as a land-guard.
"I want to state emphatically stated that l am not a land-guard but rather a chief being the head of Asafo group of Krokobite and also Nii Ardey Nkpa family Surveyor who are allodial owners of kokrobitey, Langma and Tuba lands in the Ga South Municipality in Accra.

“I have never associated myself with land guards how much more being the chief recruiting officer or kingpin who have been recruiting land guards to terrorize an area my family is the main custodians of the land? Such claims are frivolous and I urge the general public to treat it with the contempt that it deserves,” a well composed calm looking Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI noted in an interview with journalists at a press conference in Kokrobitey on Sunday July 24, 2022.

Addressing the journalists, Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI lamented that a team of armed police officers have broken into his house and took away some valuable historical items included land documents and his money to the tune of GH¢ 200,000 from his own private house in Krokobite.

Flanked by some elders of Nii Arde Nkpa Royal Family of Plerno, including Madam Dede Tiago, Mr Eric Ayikwe Tiago, Mr Samuel Adusie Bediako Okunkpa, Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI called on called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare to launch an impartial investigation into the Kokrobite bloody gunshots incident which occured at Krokobite on Thursday June 9, 2022 as well as police brutalities amidst stealing of GH¢ 200,000 and other valuable items.i
He lamented that the recent incident occurred when one person is confirmed dead, while two others, including a fifteen-year-old boy sustained a severe gunshot wounds during the lifting of ban on drumming and noise making in Kokrobite township to mark their Homowo festivities.

Meanwhile, Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI condemned the attack on these persons at Kokrobite which led to the death of one person and left several others severely injured.
He is therefore calling on the police and all other relevant authorities to as a matter of urgency bring the perpetrators of the crime to book.
Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI  described the incident as dastardly and barbaric while calling on the Inspector General of Police, National Security Ministry and other relevant authorities to ensure the perpetrators of the heinous crime are brought to book.

He also appealed to residents and the public in general to volunteer information about anyone who was involved in the shooting incident.
The leader of the Asafo group of Krokobite also hoped that the case would be treated with all the urgency it deserves.
“We are the owners of the land in question and we will not sit down for non-family members and land guards to come and destroy our beautiful tourism area. I am also appealing to everybody and the youth to calm down, please do not take the laws into your own hands, let us remain calm and allow the rule of law to take precedence in this matter,” he added.

Tse Nyonmo Kojo lI called on the general public developers not to stop deal with the transactions with non-family members and land guards in the area but rather consult the accredited members of the Nii Ardey Nkpa family who are custodian owners of kokrobitey, Langma and Tuba lands.
He pointed out that An Accra High Court has entered judgement in favour of the Nii Arde Nkpa Royal Family over the Plerno, Kokrobite, Langma and Tuba lands.

According to the Court, the Nii Arde Nkpa Family are the owners of the Plerno, Kokrobite, Langma and Tuba lands.
In a suit filed by Nii Adotei Akwei Notse, (deceased) substituted by Nii Saka Akwei II, Nii Adoayi Akwei Plaintiffs against Daniel Arde Tagoe, head of Nii Arde Nkpa family, Nii Quarshie Dzago and Lands Commission as defendants, the plaintiffs in an Amended Statement of Claims, indicated that they are owners of the disputed land and have exercised ownership rights over them for years.
