Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatie, Ama Sey, as well as other former MPs, have endorsed Honorable Fredrick Opare-Ansah for the position of General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party.

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatie, Ama Sey, as well as other former MPs, have endorsed Honourable Fredrick Opare-Ansah for the position of General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party. 
Kuffour went from minority Chief Whip to the chairman of multiple committees in both Ghana and ECOWAS parliaments to being the only MP in history to hold down a swing and a one-term seat like Suhum for 16 years, 8 of which the NPP was in opposition, and yet he managed to keep the seat strong for the NPP and effectively put the NDC out of business in the constituency. 
Honorable Ama Sey, speaking at Akoma Plaza in Takoradi in the Western Region, noted that Honorable Opare-Ansah comes down to the grassroots level, notwithstanding his level of education and position to interact with them. 
Mrs. Ewuradjoa, President of the Friends Of Opare-Ansah (FOOA), said Honorable Opare-Ansah has always served with humility and shared himself with the people. 
However, she can categorically declare that he is one of the most approachable politicians in the country's history. 
"He is the one we can trust to assist and support us in engaging with politicians, in bridging the gap between the grassroots and the Executive, and he is the one we want to support," he proclaimed. 
Honorable Abraham Odoom, a former Member of Parliament for Twifo Atimokwa, stated that Honorable Opare-Ansah has assisted him in numerous ways and that he will back him in his bid for the office of General Secretary. 
Dr. Mark Assibey, former MP for New Juaben South, Honorable Joe Mensah, former MP for Kwesimintim, Honorable Ransford Agyepong, former MP for Suhum, and Honorable Badu Ansah, former MP for Kwesimintim were among the dignitaries that attended the ceremony.
