Develop Nkrumah Hometown and stop the showoff - CPP Chairman tells Akufo-Addo

The Former Ashanti Regional Chairman for the Conventions People Party (CPP) Mr O.S Osei Yaw has called on President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to develop the hometown of the leader of the big six, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and stop living a luxurious lifestyle.

In quick response to the issue of celebration of Republic day without any recognition to our founding fathers, he chides the President for wasting the state resources on luxurious jets.

"Go to Nkrumah's hometown Nkroful and see, there is no street light, no asphalt and others you can make mention of, obviously the NPP government cannot boast of anything to remember him, Dr Nkrumah, meanwhile the President is hiring expensive jets to show off. I want to tell Nana Addo to sit up and develop the Western region", he reiterated.

Moreover, he expressed his bitterness over how the current NPP government has ignored Nkrumah's vision but pursuing their 'selfish' agendas, believing this has brought up the economic hardships.

"Nkrumah was very ambitious, why should this government dump the good ideas of the Nkrumahist and pursue their Bugos agendas? if truly the Akufo-Addo's government think about the welfare of Ghanaians, he should go back and pick Nkrumah's ideas," he emphasized.
