Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame has asked the President of Ghana, Nana Akuffo-Addo to help build proper relationships between the emerging breakthroughs in technology and artistes adding that it is important for artistes to have synergy with the technology around since artistes are content creators too. 

Mr. Versatility spoke that the major reasons entertainer exists is to make a living for themselves while distracting others therefore a move to build synergy in the entertainment industry will help artistes in the creative space earn more from their craft. 

The award-winning rapper made the plea while revealing his intentions to launch a platform that will enable artistes to earn more.

"That is a way you get your entertainment and get to support the creatives financially. Artistes can come in and have the Patch Bay Band play for them at a minimum fee,” he spoke in an interview on the 3FM Drive with Giovani Caleb.

He further asked the president to emulate some of the initiatives implemented in Kenya following Uhuru Kenyatta recent step towards the Ministry of Sports, Culture, and Heritage to set aside Ksh.100 million to cushion local artistes from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

The rapper revealed that he is launching a platform – Lalafio (little music) – on Friday, May 8 where people can subscribe and listen to live music from their top musicians from all genres whilst at home for a minimum fee.

Popularly referred to as the ‘Rap Dacta’, Okyeame Kwame disclosed that the coronavirus pandemic has seen a lot of shows he has been booked for cancelled. He advised Ghanaians to build their immune systems and protect themselves.
