As soon as people learned about KODA's departure on Sunday, tributes, particularly those from gospel musicians, went to social media. Several musicians were shocked to learn of the gospel icon's passing.

Among those who expressed their shock were, Empress Gifty, who posted on Facebook: “I hope it’s not true, KODA,” with crying emojis.

Gospel musician Nii Okai, a close friend of KODA, remarked on Sunday afternoon, "I wish I could tell you something else, but that's the reality. KODA has passed away. He claimed that, given that KODA was recovering nicely after treatment, it was rather startling to him.

Acclaimed for his upbeat tunes and profound arrangements, KODA was not just a vocalist but also a producer who had a lasting impression on the Ghanaian music landscape.

With successes like "Nsempii," "Nkwa Abodoo," "Yapai," and "Adorso" to his name, he was able to inspire optimism and faith in his listeners through his music.
