THE SECURITY taskforce of the Gomoa East District Assembly led by District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Solomon Darko Quarm have demolished buildings and fence walls built on roads at Gomoa Akotsi in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to the information available to Soireemews.com, the only access road which serves about 500 residents was blocked by a developer claimed to be working at Jubilee House.
In an interview with Soireenews.com, the
DCE for Gomoa East Solomon Darko Quarm revealed that, Nananmom (chiefs) of Gomoa Akotsi, being the custodians of the land initially stopped the developer from blocking the road but he failed to do so.
Mr Quarm indicated that the Assembly have written several warning letters to the developer  to stop blocking the road, but the developer failed to do so and using Presidency to threaten Nanamom and the Assembly .
The DCE says, the most painful aspect is that, the more they write  warning letters to him the more the developer continues to build.
The MCE further revealed that the Gomoa East Assembly has given the developer three days ultimatum to evacuate the block factory machines installed on the road and said the Assembly will revoke his permit if he tried to block the road again.
