Ghana’s Chief Justice, Anin Yeboah self-isolates over COVID-19 fears

The Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin Yeboah, has gone into a mandatory 14–day self-isolation in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.

A statement dated July 7, 2020, signed and issued by the Judicial Secretay, Ms. Pamela Cynthia Addo, and circulated to all High Court judges said the Chief Justice will now be working from his official residence at Cantonments in Accra.

The statement read:

"Respectfully, His Lordship the Chief Justice has from 6th July 2020, on the advice of his doctors, embarked on a fourteen (14-day self-isolation in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.

During this period, His Lordship will be working from the Chief Justice's Official Residence at Cantonments, Accra," 

 

 

Meanwhile a judge of the Court of Appeal, Justice Paul K. Gyaesayor has reportedly passed on

According to sources, Justice Paul K. Gyaesayor passed on Wednesday morning.

The experienced judge is said to have complained about being unwell when he reported to work on Tuesday. He went home thereafter.

Justice Paul K. Gyaesayor per reports died shortly after he got home.

The cause of his death is however unknown.
