The anticipation of Ghana to raise revenue may be dashed as the mere announcement caused a GH¢9.9billion reduction. 
According to a Bank of Ghana (BoG) data published in March 2022, a colossal sum of GH¢9.9 billion had dropped from GH¢ 86.1 billion recorded in November 2021 to some GHS76.2 billion in January 2021.
Though, the mobile money platform used to be the largest payment system network in the country.
However, with all these warnings, parliament had gone ahead to pass the controversial electronic transactions levy bill pending the President's assent to make it a law.
