Agriculture and Bono  Regional Ministers  Visit Nkrankwanta

The Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and the Bono Regional Minister, Madam Justina Awo Banahene paid a working visit to Nkrankwanta, the capital of Dormaa West District.

The Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and the Bono Regional Minister, Madam Justina Awo Banahene paid a working visit to Nkrankwanta, the capital of Dormaa West District. 

The minister for Agriculture and the Bono regional Minister inspected the 
 Nkrankwanta Rice processing factory under the One-District-One-Factory (1D1F ) policy.
He also met with the Dormaa West Rice Farmers Association where he officially inaugurated the association and charged them with the responsibility of farming and providing enough raw material to feed the factory.

The minister assured them of the government's support, being it Extension services, seed, fertilizer, herbicides, and machinery. 
Speaking on behalf of the Nkrankwanta Rice Processing Company, the secretary and board member, Dr. Aziz Khalid thanked the minister and the government for the setting up of the facility in the 2ormaa West District. 

He said the vacant lands that remained in the district are not favorable for the cultivation of any other crop, other than rice, coconut, and oil palm. 

The One government’s policy of " Planting for Food and Jobs " if only the government gives them a helping hand in providing them with both human, capital, and material resources.

They were accompanied by the Dormaa West District Chief Executive, Mrpvv. Francis Kwadwo Oppong, the District Assembly staff, and NPP party executives.
