The Fufuo Kroye Kuo have assured to build the neighborhood an ultra-modern community center to accommodate gatherings and other significant events in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District.

 

 

The center when completed will contain a contemporary modern open reception, 3,000 plus capacity car park, modern VIP launch, 11 first-class trendy WC's with eight urinal bederts, and many others.

It will also include an Information Technology and recreational center that will help develop the skills of students and talented young people in the town to confront the future with confidence.

Series of projects are ongoing in the community, kind courtesy of inhabitants abroad who represent the interest of the community.

 

 

The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Benito Owusu Bio last month acknowledged the patriotism demonstrated by the Fufuman Nkabom Kuo as he donated ₵10,000 from the common fund to support the building of a community hospital to foster the healthcare of inhabitants at Fufuo and its surrounding towns.

 

 

The projects undertaken by residents through their various Associations is to help develop the town and make living better for inhabitants.

Speaking to a member of the Kroye Kuo, which was found in London, Mr. Yaw Ofori Amish Addai on the purpose of building the Center, he explained that the intension of the Union is to provide the young ones in the Fufuo community with infrastructures that can ease their way of life and give them something to boast about unlike the former days.

 

 

He addressed that it is their obligation as citizens to develop their community rather than wait on government to reason on their behalf.

“We were born and bred in this village. Gone are the days where we were a laughing stock to surrounding communities because we had nothing to boast about in this village.

"One of the leading pastors in this town has built us a library as a section of inhabitants have also started works on a hospital for the benefit of inhabitants. We also want to build a community center to accommodate funerals and meetings.

 

 

“Recreational grounds and an IT center will also be created to help equip the young ones to develop their skills,” he added.

The Queen-mother of Fufuo, Nana Yaa Pomaa II acknowledged the efforts of the overseas residents for their service to community and country.

She explained that the community’s progress has been hindered by the lack of developmental projects for years therefore efforts of the investors are needful in such a technological era.

 

 

“I am very glad this very day for the initiatives by our overseas residence. They have really thought of us with love. We had no one some years ago to come to our aid in developmental issues but I'm glad that we took notice whiles we were young and have started implementation.

"What our brothers and nephews have done is very commending and it is our prayer to do more. This is their town and in their old age, this is the very place they will be laid to rest. They have thought very wisely.

She advised parents to empower the lives of their wards through education in order to continue the legacy left by the prominent members of the various associations.

“It is good to go to school. Nana Addo has made education very affordable for us all and I encourage all parents to invest in the future of their wards. This will help produce responsible people to take care of the position of those overseas,” she added.

 

 

The Fufuo Committee chairman, Mr. Ntiamoah Nasco on behalf of the chiefs and committee members expressed gratitude for the undertakings and called on all able-workers to support the initiative.
